Anthony J. Buonicore is chairman and CEO of Buonicore Partners, LLC, publisher of the popular daily newsletter, Building Energy Performance News. Mr. Buonicore has been active in the property due diligence industry for more than 35 years and is a nationally recognized expert on energy and environmental issues as they impact property. He co-founded and successfully sold a number of companies including BCA Environmental Services, Chemrox, Hunter Environmental Services and Environmental Data Resources (EDR). As CEO of EDR, Mr. Buonicore was responsible for almost two dozen acquisitions, including a successful rollup in the property information industry. EDR was sold to DMG Information (a subsidiary of the Daily Mail in London) in 1999. In 2003, Mr. Buonicore became CEO of DMGI’s Property Data and Analytics Group, with responsibility for DMGI property information companies internationally. In 2006, Mr. Buonicore left DMGI to start Building Energy Performance News.

Mr. Buonicore is a past president of the International Air and Waste Management Association; served as Chairman of the ASTM Task Group responsible for development of the U.S. property environmental due diligence standard; and is currently serving as Chairman of another ASTM Task Group responsible for development of a property vapor intrusion screening standard. He authored numerous books and papers and is a frequent invited lecturer and guest speaker.

Mr. Buonicore serves or has recently served on numerous corporate Boards, including EDR, Trepp, Property & Portfolio Research, Sanborn Map Company and Landmark Information Group. He has Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College in New York City, is a member of the Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Honor Society, BOMA and IFMA, and is a licensed professional engineer, a Qualified Environmental Professional and Diplomat in the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
