Sherri Petrowitz There are aspects of real estate sales that seem pretty simple. There are many elements of a smooth transaction, however, that are complicated and daunting. I can help you with every aspect of buying or selling your home because I’m experienced, because I’m professional . . .and because I care.

Here’s a little information on who I am and what my background in business and real estate has been and continues to be today. For 12 years I was in retail management serving as a trouble shooter. My job was to take stores that were in the red and make them profitable. While I loved the challenge and knowledge that the position brought to me, I also got tired of the long hours and missed having a life.

While I helped start my husbands business, I also took a job as an operations manager for a fire alarm and security systems installation company that was struggling. I managed to turn the company into a profitable business again within 18 months and purchased that company from the owner that hired me. I ran this company for 7 years and sold it 3 years ago to pursue my real estate license.

During the time that I owned that company I had been investing in real estate myself. Starting out with small condo fix and flips to increase my capital and eventually own 6 rental properties. I sold those properties and bought lots to build specs. I sold those specs and purchased what I call my retirement parcel. I bought a nice piece of land that had a long term hold that would eventually yield my retirement. During this process, I only used a real estate agent twice. I found that most agents weren’t familiar or comfortable with working with investors or other people’s money. Through this process though, it forced me to learn the hard way through gains and losses, how to effectively and profitably invest in real estate.

Once I had purchased my retirement parcel, I decided to try to help other people invest in real estate. I realized that there was a need for agents that are knowledgeable in the investing part of real estate. Real estate is an excellent form of investing, but like any investment, you have to have the right resources and information to make the right investment. While any investment is a risk, I try to limit the risks by taking a calculated look at the investment. So far, I have done pretty well for my clients and myself. I have been a top producer with my brokerage since I got my license 3 years ago and all of my clients are repeat buyers and sellers and referrals.

My mission is to help everyone who owns or wants to own a home, know and understand their responsibility and the part they play in this incredible real estate market. Everyone who buys or sells their home is investing in this market and it is so important to know how the way you buy and sell your home affects the market.

It can be affected positively or negatively based on how much you know about all aspects from, how the lending works and getting the best loan to negotiating the purchase and or sales price among other factors.

Unfortunately, what most people don’t know is that licensed agents are not taught these skills in real estate school. Please know, that this is not their fault but it is their responsibility to get that information once they get out. Most do not do that and therefore can not effectively help you with your transaction.

Through my FREE seminars, I am hoping to help educate the general public in these areas so that you the buyer/seller will have the skills if your agent doesn't. Not having the knowledge can adversely affect our market. It would be like having unlicensed stock brokers. This knowledge is critically important to having a healthy real estate market.

So, if you own a home, want to own a home, are going to lose your home or have a vacant home or know someone who fits this criteria, please make sure you come to these seminars and tell everyone you know to come. Once you buy a home you, have become an investor, and your home is your investment, and it is so important to know how to work that investment and how not to lose it.

These seminars can help you gain wealth in this wonderful market. You just need the knowledge. If you are a seasoned investor, these seminars will enhance your current portfolio. If you are an agent, no matter how long you have had your license, you need these agent seminars and courses as well, even if it is only a refresher for you. It is our responsibility to guide the buyers and sellers in the correct and profitable direction so that we can keep this market strong for everyone.
